Could you tell us what made you want to try Ourtime? How were you feeling at that time in your life?: Having now been a widower for 4 years and going through lockdown, I felt the time was right to try to find female company again to enjoy mutual likes. I felt it was also important at my age not to try to meet ladies in my very local area as any ‘falling out’ could impact on my daily life and visits within the local town.
How would you describe your initial experience with the website or app?: It was quite good really. Easy to set up a profile and easy to search for possible matches.
On a date, what makes you think that it’s “the start of something real”?: Difficult but an initial feeling of some compatibility and mutual trust. I think I may have been lucky but the one date I have found on the site, within the first week, has now turned into a second meeting so fingers crossed.
There seemed to be a distinct magnetism between us.
What would you say to encourage hesitant singles over 50 to try out dating sites?: You only live once and why not see if this site can cure loneliness. You are in control and if it6 doesn’t work you haven’t lost anything but, if it does work you have gained everything.
