What encouraged you to sign up to Ourtime?: I had been single for many years and felt the time was right to try dating before it was too late. A friend had used the site and suggested it as I’m over 50.
What were your first impressions of the site? Which aspects gave you the most confidence?: My first impression was one of terror until I mastered how to negotiate the site. I’d accidentally liked all the profiles I first viewed! I felt confident in the safety of the site.
When did you meet?: We had our first date on Boxing Day.
What particularly attracted you to him/her?: I liked the message he first sent me as he’d clearly read my profile and was interested in me as a person rather than superficial physical attributes. We shared common interests and values and had a similar sense of humour.
What are some of the things you enjoy doing together?: We enjoy cooking together, socialising with friends and hill walking.
And what about your daily lives? Do you live together, or have any plans for the future?: We live in separate homes, one in the country in the east and one in the city in the west which gives us the best of both worlds. We’re committed to a long term relationship and will see how that pans out regarding living arrangements in the years ahead. We’ve several trips planned both home and abroad.
