What encouraged you to sign up to Ourtime?: I had been divorced ten years, had one long-term casual relationship & wanted to meet someone who wanted what I did, to spend time with a man who had the same interest, get to know them & who knows what may happen.
What were your first impressions of the site? Which aspects gave you the most confidence?: I was protected, not all of my details were displayed. I could get in contact with someone I wanted to find out about and see how we got on before we exchanged contact details.
When did you meet?: We talked over the messenger service on the site for a week, exchanged numbers & messages for a few more days, then I took the plunge and called him, which he was surprised at, but loved that I had the confidence to call him out of the blue. We met on the 2nd of September 2023 at his house, & went straight out for dinner at a lovely restaurant. It was quite a warm night, so after dinner, we sat in his garden, & chatted until 2 am.
What particularly attracted you to him/her?: He made me laugh from the moment I stepped out of my car, we laughed all night, and chatted about our lives, our children, our jobs and what we were looking for in a partner. We didn’t stop chatting and laughing. He stole my heart that night, & our feelings were mutual, when I left, he rang to see if I was home safe, & we continued our chat until the sun came up.
What are some of the things you enjoy doing together?: We enjoy going for meals, and the odd night out for a drink, but most of all, we love spending time together, relaxing, and watching football, bizarrely we support the same team, and our ideal night is to cuddle on the sofa, talking & listening to music.
And what about your daily lives? Do you live together, or have any plans for the future?: We decided very early on that we had fallen for each other massively, we had both fallen in love for the first time in our lives, & it felt amazing. We met each other’s families, my house is now up for sale, we are going on our first holiday next week, we are house hunting for our forever home, & getting married this year.
